We have been spending some time with the early Vikings. We now know Leif Ericsson landed on the North American continent around 1000 AD around present day Newfoundland. Just a little history lesson for ya.....I didn't remember learning this, so it was pretty cool. We are studying the history of American exploration. Now we must journey with Christopher Columbus for awhile. Wish us Godspeed and safety on our voyage! We will get to make hardtack (yum!-not!) the end of the week and learn how the sailors survived. Should be fun!
