I'm putting sheets on his bunk bed......
Patrick: I'm going to live here when I grow up Mom.
Me: Of course you can. You can help pay the bills.
Patrick: Ok. This room will be my house. My kids will sleep on the top bunk and we'll sleep on the bottom.
Me: Who's "we"?
Patrick: (incredulously) Me and my wife!
Aside...
Up until now Patrick has shunned the idea of marriage. In the past he said he never wanted to get married.......but he did want to be a grandfather.
I said he'd have to be a father first to be a grandfather and to be a father he needed to get married.
Patrick said he'd adopt.
Now, at the ripe old age of six and a half, he has decided marriage may not be a bad idea after all. I wish I knew what changed his mind........
